Alternate Picking & String Skipping in G
In this video guitar lesson I go over a piece that I wrote that incorporates the techniques of alternate picking while skipping strings. I play this piece in the key of G and I briefly explain the roman numeral system of naming chords withing a key (I’ve also heard to called the Nashville Numbering System).
This is an advanced lesson and it is intended to be played on an electric guitar that is properly set-up. This piece would also serve very well as a warm-up exercise for both the left and right hand.
