Here is a guitar lesson for a great song called “La Malaguena”. It is about a poor man singing to a beautiful woman from Malaga, Spain. She is out of his league, he wants to be with her, but he would understand if she rejects him. I have heard many different versions of this song, this is just my interpretation of the song, similar to what I was taught as a young lad. This is an excellent beginner song to master. If someone knows you play guitar and asks you to play a song, this is a great song to have in your arsenal to impress people with. It combines melody, harmony, fingerstyle and strumming.
